Hi all,
I’m owner of the MOVA V50 Ultra and ran into a reproducible issue I’d like to check with others.
Setup:
- Sofa clearance: ~11.5 cm
- Robot height: ~8.9 cm (LiDAR retracts correctly)
- Area is detected as a low-clearance zone
- Robot can physically move and clean under the sofa without getting stuck
Issue:
While cleaning under the sofa, the robot will randomly say “pause” and stop.
- No error message is shown in the app
- It just waits indefinitely
- When I press resume, it continues normally as if nothing happened
Observations:
- The LiDAR retracts correctly
- The robot does not appear physically stuck
- This happens almost every run
- Seems more like a safety hesitation than an actual blockage
Question:
Is this expected behavior in low-clearance environments, or is this something that could be improved via firmware?
Would be great to hear if:
- others are experiencing the same issue
- there are settings that reduce this behavior
- or if MOVA/Dreame plans to refine this logic
I can't make a video because it is under the sofa.
