MOVA V50 Ultra pauses randomly under low furniture (no error, just “pause”)

Hi all,

I’m owner of the MOVA V50 Ultra and ran into a reproducible issue I’d like to check with others.

Setup:
- Sofa clearance: ~11.5 cm
- Robot height: ~8.9 cm (LiDAR retracts correctly)
- Area is detected as a low-clearance zone
- Robot can physically move and clean under the sofa without getting stuck

Issue:
While cleaning under the sofa, the robot will randomly say “pause” and stop.
- No error message is shown in the app
- It just waits indefinitely
- When I press resume, it continues normally as if nothing happened

Observations:
- The LiDAR retracts correctly
- The robot does not appear physically stuck
- This happens almost every run
- Seems more like a safety hesitation than an actual blockage

Question:
Is this expected behavior in low-clearance environments, or is this something that could be improved via firmware?

Would be great to hear if:
- others are experiencing the same issue
- there are settings that reduce this behavior
- or if MOVA/Dreame plans to refine this logic

I can't make a video because it is under the sofa.

Thanks!

Good morning, dear user. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
May I ask whether the robot gives an error while stopping in an open area or under the sofa?
You can try setting the LiDAR lifting mode in the app to Max Coverage Mode.
